The KC Chiefs brass will be in downtown Kansas City later this morning for a press conference celebrating 50 years in Kansas City. Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, GM Scott Pioli, president Mark Donovan and head coach Romeo Crennel will be on hand for the event.
I'm not sure exactly what the Chiefs will be announcing, other than this description about the press conference:
"The Chiefs have several announcements of initiatives and plans for the 2012 season to celebrate the club's 50 years in Kansas City and to thank the fans for their support over the years."
The press conference starts at 11:45 a.m. (Arrowhead Time) and will take place at Union Station, which is a notable spot in the city because it's where Pioli dreams of one day celebrating a Chiefs Super Bowl victory (Source: "War Room").
While we wait, here is a very cool photo gallery of the Chiefs through the years, via the KC Star.
