The Kansas City Chiefs held their rookie minicamp over the weekend but starting this morning the rookies will start working out with the veterans. Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel spoke to the media on Sunday and said the best part about the rookie minicamp is that it means everything else is starting.
Crennel also ran down today's schedule, which includes both the rookies and veterans together.
Tomorrow morning (Monday), they're going to be doing individual drills with the veterans. Then, they're going to lift in the second lifting group, which doesn't have a whole lot of guys in it anyway, and then in the afternoon, they're going to be in the classroom and doing player program information, so they get to continue what we started. We feel good about that.
Here's a look at the offseason schedule for the Chiefs...
OTAs: May 21-22, May 29, May 31-June1, June 4-5, June 7-8.
Minicamp (mandatory): June 12-14.
