The Kansas City Chiefs added two receivers in the 2012 NFL Draft and they continue adding talent at that position through undrafted free agency. According to several reports, the Chiefs have agreed to a deal with UDFA Josh Bellamy, a receiver out of Louisville.
The name sounds familiar because we highlighted him a few weeks ago when the Chiefs attended the Louisville pro day. Here's what was said about him back then:
The buzz centered around wide receiver Josh Bellamy, who had a solid workout. He posted one of the best times of the afternoon, when he ran a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash and looked solid running routes with former Cardinal quarterback, Brian Brohm, throwing to the wide receivers and tight end. Bellamy also worked out at cornerback for the professional scouts.
So he could be a receiver or a cornerback -- I see why the Chiefs picked him up. Guys that can do multiple things usually have a better shot of hanging on someplace.
