2012 NFL Draft: Chiefs Meeting With Small School Safety

In 2006, the Dallas Cowboys signed a player out of Monmouth (NJ), Miles Austin, and the Chiefs helped him make a lot of money when he caught 10 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns in Kansas City during the 2009 season.

The Chiefs could be hoping to find another hidden gem out of Monmouth. According to NFL Draft Bible, the Chiefs are meeting with S Jose Gumbs out of Monmouth. It's unclear if this is a visit or a private workout. He's also visited the New Orleans Saints, New York Giants and New York Jets, according to the report.

Gumbs is a multi-year starter and looks like he's projected as an undrafted free agent. He stands 5'10" and weighs 210 pounds.

Here's more on Gumbs from his Monmouth bio.
