Representing the New York Giants, doriang3 with the 32nd pick in Arrowhead Pride's 2012 NFL mock draft...
The super bowl champion Giants are riding high after dismantling the New England Patriots for the second time in four years and quite frankly don't have many holes.
Picking at the end of the first round allows the Giants to do what they do best which is pick the player on the board with the most upside and I have just the guy for the Giants.
The Giants Defensive line is intact and the offensive line is capable of another deep playoff run but the G-men have suffered a few losses this offseason on the offensive side of the ball. Packing a U-haul this offseason both Mario Manningham and Brandon Jacobs have taken their talents to the Bay area leaving two fairly large holes on a strong title contender.
With that said I have made my pick on the offensive side of the ball in an attempt to replace the lost production that will be out in San Francisco this upcoming season.
The Giants love wide receivers that are good route runners, guys who can get open and pick up positive yards after the catch and they lost that with Manningham's departure but lucky for the G-men Kendall Wright is sitting at home waiting for them to call.
Wright brings the Giants another toy for Eli to exploit the overrated defenses of the NFC east a quick, sure handed natural route running receiver. Wright can line up inside in the slot or outside on the perimeter and he can make plays at every level of the field. He does a great job with acrobatic catches and most importantly he loves to catch the ball in stride seeking the end zone. Wright has a similar frame and skill set to Maningham so the drop off should not be great once Wright gets a grasp of the speed NFL defenses play with.
Following this Pick Kendall Wright will be tweeting RG3 a BIG thank you because had it not been for RG3 Wright would be a middle round selection..
