2012 NFL Draft: Dontari Poe Visited The Chiefs Recently

Earlier this week, AP user kcguy commented on the site that he ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Kansas City recently and sitting next to him was Dontari Poe, the Memphis defensive tackle and potential first round pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Not that I didn't believe him but I couldn't really run with that on the site.

But Gil Brandt has confirmed in a story on NFL.com that, yes, Poe did visit the Kansas City Chiefs recently. (AP user kcguy is your leader for breaking news in Kansas City.)

Brandt noted that he's also visited the Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles. He's often connected to the Dallas Cowboys but they have yet to bring him in for a visit (and every first round pick dating back to 2006 they've brought in for a pre-draft visit).

We've all been wondering how the Chiefs view Poe. Is he the athletic freak with so much potential that he's flying up draft boards? Or is he the guy who didn't have enough production in college? That's the key question but we know now that Poe is at least on the Chiefs radar if he's taking a visit to KC.

I just wanna see where Poe ends up getting drafted because people have him all over the board. Some say he's a top 10 pick (Carolina at No. 9?) and others say he'll drop until the end of the first round.
