Earlier today we noted that former Kansas City Chiefs TE Leonard Pope, who is an unrestricted free agent, was visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Steelers have now announced that Pope has agreed to a one-year contract. No word on how much it's worth.
Pope has been with former Chiefs coach Todd Haley for almost his entire career -- two of his three years with the Arizona Cardinals came under Haley and then the last three seasons in KC under Haley.
The Chiefs play the Steelers in Pittsburgh this season.
Pope joins a list of Chiefs free agents who have joined other teams including Brandon Carr and Kyle Orton (Dallas Cowboys) and Le'Ron McClain (San Diego Chargers).
