Luis Castillo Visits The Chiefs After Release From Chargers Last Week

The AFC West poaching could continue. The Kansas City Chiefs picked up Stanford Routt last month and then the Oakland Raiders hired a former Chiefs executive. The San Diego Chargers picked up Demorrio Williams this week and now a report comes out of San Diego that KC has interest in a former Charger.

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that defensive end Luis Castillo visited the Chiefs. We're not sure when it took place but Castillo was just released last week.

Castillo is listed at 6'3" and 290 pounds. He's played defensive end in the Chargers 3-4 defense.

This is very interesting. The Chiefs have about $18 million in cap space tied to their two starting defensive ends, Tyson Jackson and Glenn Dorsey. Jackson's cap hit rises significantly next season. KC could be checking out options just in case.

There's no contract yet but Acee indicates several other teams have interest in Castillo.
