The AFC West signings continue. The Kansas City Chiefs picked up Oakland Raiders CB Stanford Routt and then the Raiders hired a former Chiefs executive Lamonte Winston. And now the San Diego Chargers are getting in on the act.
According to a report from Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com, the Chargers agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Demorrio Williams. The deal hasn't been announced by the Chargers yet.
Williams, of course, was cut by the Chiefs earlier this week. The move netted them about $1.7 million in cap savings. He was mainly a special teamer in Kansas City playing behind Derrick Johnson at inside linebacker.
Now Williams will move to San Diego where he'll get to compete for a job.
Not a bad sign that someone the Chiefs cut is picked up pretty quickly. Remember back in 2009 when KC cut a bunch of players and only a few found others jobs? The roster's getting deeper.
