Tyler Palko is an exclusive rights free agent which means the Kansas City Chiefs can keep him -- if they want. We're not sure if they will and it doesn't sound like Palko is either.
Palko talked with 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh -- it was mostly about Todd Haley and Pitt football -- and indicated he hasn't yet heard whether the Chiefs are going to keep him.
"Right now I don't know if I'm gonna be back with them or be on another team," Palko said.
The Chiefs can control his rights if they want. Apparently, they haven't told him yet whether they'll keep him.
"You always kinda go through these times, unsure times, just trying to be on a team right now, let alone making a team for training camp," Palko said. "Once March 13 rolls around, I'll have a little bit better of an idea of where and if I'll be playing football in teh fall. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Hopefully I've done enough to warrant an opportunity to keep playing this great game. Up until then I'm going to keep working out and be ready to go."
Palko noted that Todd Haley was the NFL coach who really gave him his first shot. And now Haley is gone.
