Updates On The KC Chiefs Free Agents

It's been about a week and a half in free agency for the Kansas City Chiefs and they've signed a number of players, let a few more go and there's even more of the Chiefs free agents who haven't done anything.

Almost 10 days into free agency, it's time for a recap on what the Chiefs have done. I went all the way back and included the guys that have been signed or re-signed back in January and February, before the real free agency started. I also included the guys who have gone elsewhere and then listed the rest of the Chiefs free agents that haven't had any news.

All Kansas City Chiefs Free Agency News

Players Signed By The Chiefs

LB Jovan Belcher (RFA): One-year, $1.972 million. Staying in KC.

RB Peyton Hillis: One-year, $3 million deal. He could fill a few roles, including fullback.

TE Kevin Boss: Three-year, $9 million deal. He'll be paired with Tony Moeaki.

OT Eric Winston: Four-year, $22 million deal. Instant starter.

QB Brady Quinn: One-year deal. He'll be Matt Cassel's backup.

CB Stanford Routt: Three-year, $18 million deal. Chiefs are really only on the hook for the first two years, totaling $10.5 million.

DL Amon Gordon: Coming back to KC on a two-year deal. I think this is a pretty good signing we're probably overlooking.

More after the jump....

LB Brandon Siler: One-year deal. This was done a while back.

TE Jake O'Connell: Another one-year deal, also done a while back.

CB Jacques Reeves: This one came before free agency started.

WR Zeke Markshausen: Training camp body for the time being.

DB Kyle McCarthy: Signed back in February.

G Daryl Harris: Signed back in January.

DT Anthony Toribio, OL Luke Patterson, WR Jamar Newsome, LB Caleb Campbell, OL Rob Bruggeman, FB Shane Bannon: All futures contracts signed shortly after the regular season ended in January.

Signed Elsewhere

CB Brandon Carr: $50.1 million from the Dallas Cowboys. Crazy amount but he deserves it.

FB Le'Ron McClain: Signed a three-year deal with the Chargers so he's staying in the AFC West.

QB Kyle Orton: He signed with the Cowboys on a three-year deal.

Drawing Interest In Free Agency

RB Jackie Battle: He's a candidate to join the Chargers and backup Ryan Mathews. He worked out there and is reportedly one of four candidates for the job.

WR Jerheme Urban: He's drawing interest from the Cowboys, according to a report.

Nothing New

QB Tyler Palko (ERFA): Haven't heard anything on him.

S Reshard Langford (ERFA): Nothing here either. He could return to the Chiefs. Wouldn't surprise me.

TE Anthony Becht: Nada.

DB Travis Daniels: Via his Twitter account, it sounds like he wants to return to the Chiefs. We'll see if anything happens.

S Sabby Piscitelli: Nothing.

TE Leonard Pope: The addition of Boss may mean the end of Pope in Kansas City.

OT Barry Richardson: Haven't heard anything.

DE Wallace Gilberry: Nothing here either, which is kind of a surprise.

DL Kelly Gregg: Nothing new. Retirement still seems the most likely.

RB Thomas Jones: Nothing new here either .

S Jon McGraw: Nothing.

OT Ryan O'Callaghan: Retirement rumors. Haven't heard anything official.

C Casey Wiegmann: Still waiting on his retirement decision.
