New Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kevin Boss visited with the Border Patrol on 810 WHB on Wednesday morning and talked about his decision to pick the Chiefs in free agency.
The best part of joining the Chiefs? He doesn't have to block Tamba Hali anymore.
"I'm just glad I don't have to try to block Tamba Hali anymore," Boss said. "He was always a handful for us. He was a guy last year, when I was with Oakland, we always drew a big circle around him and I had to know where he was at all times. He caused a lot of problems for us."
And now other tight ends will have to deal with that problem.
Check out the audio of Boss's 810 WHB appearance. A few highlights are listed below:
- His release was "a bit of a surprise". He had a multi-year deal with the Raiders which he signed just last year but the Raiders are making all kinds of cuts due to salary cap problems (and the Chiefs keep pickin' them up).
- He went to the Super Bowl with the Giants in his rookie year and wants to get back. That's part of the reason he picked the Chiefs. That's nice to hear.
- On the Raiders-Chiefs rivalry, Boss says: "I'm happy to be on the good side." Indeed.
