Jerricho Cotchery was scheduled to visit the Kansas City Chiefs today. A couple days after free agency started the Chiefs were linked to Cotchery, and then they reportedly scheduled a visit with him. According to Adam Teicher of the KC Star, that visit is today.
The Chiefs are apparently interested in a veteran receiver. Cotchery turns 30 next season and eight years of experience in the NFL with the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Chiefs are losing Jerheme Urban in free agency. Dwayne Bowe, Jonathan Baldwin and Steve Breaston are really the only locks at receiver. Terrance Copper probably comes back. Others, like Jeremy Horne, will see more competition.
We'll see if anything comes of this visit.
