Six Days Into KC Chiefs Free Agency

48 hours into free agency last week we ran a poll asking how Kansas City Chiefs fans were feeling about free agency and 5 percent said it was a great start, 74 percent said we'll have to wait and see on some of the upcoming visits and 19 percent said the Chiefs were doing a bad job.

Since then the Chiefs have signed TE Kevin Boss, QB Brady Quinn and RT Eric Winston. This added to the previous signing of RB Peyton Hillis (and before that, CB Stanford Routt).

I imagine the results will be a little different this time around.

The Winston signing is as big as any GM Scott Pioli has made since coming to Kansas City while Quinn, Hillis and Routt fill clear needs. Boss is potential insurance for TE Tony Moeaki. All the moves make sense so far, at least to me.

The Chiefs haven't re-signed many of the nearly two dozen players that were set to become free agents, which is a little bit of a surprise to me.

Let us know how you're feeling about the Chiefs in free agency as we approach the one-week mark.
