Brady Quinn Plans A Chiefs Visit

On Thursday while we were talking about the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback situation I admitted that I'm one of those people out there that think Brady Quinn can still be a starting quarterback in the NFL. I also asked that you not mock me for my feelings on Quinn. (Most of you complied.)

As it turns out, Quinn will soon be in Kansas City and he'll be working out for the Chiefs, according to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com. No word on exactly when the workout will take place. Quinn was scheduled to visit the New York Jets on Friday but they went out and signed Drew Stanton, formerly of the Detroit Lions.

The connection is Romeo Crennel, who was in Cleveland when the Browns traded back into the first round and drafted Quinn one spot ahead of the Chiefs. There was speculation that former Chiefs GM/CEO/President/Everything Carl Peterson would have selected Quinn if Cleveland hadn't traded up. Instead, the Chiefs took Dwayne Bowe.

Quinn wouldn't really be pushing Cassel for the starting job. He would be a backup, and probably the best backup quarterback Chiefs GM Scott Pioli has had since he's been in KC.

So Quinn comes to KC for a workout one day after I admit to the world that I'm a big Brady Quinn fan.

Let's try this out: I admit I'm a huge Peyton Manning fan.
