Most Give Peyton Hillis Signing A Thumbs Up

We posted our approval poll on the Kansas City Chiefs signing former Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis last night and the numbers are solid for Hillis' arrival. 4 out of 5 Chiefs fans who voted approve of the decision to sign Hillis.

The results, with nearly 4,000 votes cast: 80% approve; 6% do not approve; 12% are not sure.

Looking at this move in a vacuum, I like it. Hillis is essentially replacing Thomas Jones and given where each of those guys are at in their career I think this is an upgrade.

However, if this signing means someone like, RB Mike Tolbert, is unlikely to be in KC (which it probably does) then I'm still happy about it but not as thrilled. Personally, I would've chosen Tolbert over Hillis but Tolbert also has more competition from other teams, which means it wouldn't be an easy sign, and he will also be seeking a longterm deal, not a one-year deal like Hillis.

But for the first signing of free agency, I like it. Just give me some more.

Now, someone told me something about a right tackle down in Texas...
