The Kansas City Chiefs are scheduled to meet with free agent right tackle Eric Winston, according to reports from the Kansas City Star and Pro Football Talk. Kent Babb writes the specifics aren't confirmed but a visit is expected this week.
The Miami Dolphins were the first reported visit but if he gets out of South Florida he is expected to stop in with the Chiefs. The St. Louis Rams are also on his visit list, according to the reports.
I really hope the Chiefs make this one happen. We've been talking about the need for a right tackle for what seems like years (actually, it has been years).
As we said before, this is a perfect combination of talent meeting need. Winston is talented, one of the better right tackles in the game. The Chiefs have a need at right tackle, a big one.
Let's hope he leaves South Florida.
