Time for some NFL free agency updates. There are a few tidbits on the Kansas City Chiefs including Brandon Carr visiting the Cowboys and drawing interest from the 49ers, Kyle Orton visiting the Cowboys and John Carlson visiting KC.
A roundup of the other free agency happenings around the league....
The Redskins are signing a lot of receivers. Pierre Garcon got over $40 million from Washington. Josh Morgan is nearing a deal and reportedly Eddie Royal is as well. Step one is apparently getting RG3. Step two is adding a ton of receivers.
WR Vincent Jackson moving to the NFC? Sounds like he might be headed to Tampa Bay. The deal's not done yet but multiple reports say they're getting close. The Bucs had a ton of money entering free agency and it looks like they'll be using it.
G Carl Nicks visits Bucs as Saints bring in a guard. Nicks is visiting Tampa Bay and so far that's the only visit he has set up. Interestingly, his former teams, the Saints, are hosting another top-ranked guard in Ben Grubbs, previously of the Baltimore Ravens.
DE Mario Williams makes his first visit. He's visiting the Buffalo BIlls. They also have a ton of salary cap space and the Bills GM indicated earlier in the day in a radio interview that he hopes to make a big splash early in free agency and then get out and focus on the draft. That's one way to operate, I suppose.
Chad Henne is making a few visits. To the Seahawks and Jaguars. He's someone I think the Chiefs could potentially be interested in depending on how free agency plays out. Keep an eye on him.
Jason Campbell drawing interest from the Bears. They don't wanna go through the Caleb Hanie experiment again if Jay Cutler goes down. Campbell would be one of the best backups in the league. The Bears have also been connected to Kyle Orton.
Cortland Finnegan is visiting the Rams. They need a ton of cornerback help. They went through what seemed like 50 of them last year. Finnegan knows Jeff Fisher from their Tennessee days. I bet this one gets done.
