Not only is Brandon Carr visiting the Dallas Cowboys in free agency but Kyle Orton is doing the same, according to ESPN.
I suppose Orton visiting the Cowboys isn't such a huge surprise considering they were one of the teams that issued a waiver wire claim on him last year when he was released by the Denver Broncos. Obviously, they like him.
The Cowboys job wouldn't be for a starting position -- Tony Romo is in place and they like him.
In Kansas City, Orton would have a shot at competing for the starting job (we think). He played well in his final three starts in KC and Romeo Crennel and GM Scott Pioli has said he would like him back.
I still think KC is among the best fits for Orton, barring a team offering him a clear path to the starting job. I think he's the type of quarterback you bring in to compete with your current starter, like Matt Cassel.
We'll see. But interesting to see two of the Chiefs free agents quickly visiting Dallas.
