Maybe free agent Randy Moss really does still have it. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Moss agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers. No word on how much it'll pay him.
Moss worked out for the New Orleans Saints last week and the reports out of that visit were that he looked terrific. (Curiously, his terrific workout did not result in a contract from New Orleans.) He then visited the 49ers today and he agreed to terms sometime after that.
Interesting note about his workout: 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh was the one throwing him passes. Harbaugh, of course, broke our hearts when he and the Colts beat the Chiefs, 10-7, in a January 1997 divisional round playoff game.
I think this could end up being a really good signing. Moss is definitely up there in age (35) but he's always been a freak of an athlete. If anyone's going to be productive at that age, it's gonna be Moss. Well, a motivated Moss. He strikes me as the type of guy that is really good only when he wants to be.
You know who would look really good throwing the ball to Randy Moss?
Actually, I'm not even gonna say his name.
