So the Washington Redskins made a blockbuster trade with the St. Louis Rams in the 2012 NFL draft giving up three first round picks and a second round pick for the No. 2 overall pick and the rights to Robert Griffin III. The Redskins sixth overall pick and two future first rounders, along with a second rounder at some point, will go to St. Louis and Washington wil presumably draft Robert Griffin III.
This is a ton to give up. Like....a shitload (can I say that here?). But, then again, if RG3 is this superstar everyone thinks he can be, then the deal doesn't seem so bad.
Let's bring this back to the Kansas City Chiefs for a hypothetical. And let's ignore Peyton Manning in this hypothetical. If you're GM Scott Pioli, and the Rams offer you, the Chiefs GM, this deal -- three first round picks and a second round pick for the No. 2 overall pick this year -- are you doing it?
