The best part about the NFL draft is that there are a million different scenarios that could change the outlook of the draft, which means we have a million things to talk about when it comes to the draft. One of the interesting scenarios developing involves Alabama RB Trent Richardson.
He had a minor knee procedure a few weeks ago and won't work out at the NFL Combine this week, or Alabama's pro day in early March. Instead, NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports he will work out for teams on March 27.
Richardson was projected to go as high as the top five in the NFL draft. A knee injury, however minor it is, definitely affects the draft stock of a running back.
It makes me wonder if Richardson's injury will cause him to dip down draft boards. Perhaps as low as No. 11 or No. 12, where the Chiefs are picking.
Just something to think about. I've already laid out some of my feelings on Trent Richardson. And a couple of our readers have weighed in as well with those related links above.
