Arrowheadlines: Chiefs News 2/13

Good morning...your Kansas City Chiefs news (and it's not much!).

Most people in Chicago spend their working hours contemplating relationships with family or friends. Some will take time to listen to music or a book on tape. Unfortuantely, for Spizzi, he can't stop thinking of one game.

"I guarantee you they beat Kansas City they make the playoffs. I guarantee you!" said Spizzi while pointing a shovel at the writer's face. "They lost 10-3. 10-3. You give me that team, I win that game. Seriously...I win that game."

COACHING CONNECTIONS: Landry was Jim Zorn's strong safety of choice in Washington, starting 31 games of Zorn's 32-game tenure as Redskins head coach from 2008-09. Entering his second season as Kansas City's quarterbacks coach in 2012, Zorn should be able to provide expert analysis on what a healthy Landry provides.

A product of LSU, Landry also has a number of connections inside Kansas City's locker room. Most noteworthy, Landry andDwayne Bowe were part of the same high school signing class at LSU in 2003.

The Kansas City Chiefs are being called the "longshot" of all possible destinations for Peyton Manning if or when he's released from the Indianapolis Colts. That's likely true considering the team already has Matt Cassel in a possible starting candidate and seemed impressed enough with Kyle Orton near season's end to ask him back as well. Then again, nothing would top a healthy Manning under center in Arrowhead.
