We were just wondering whether the Kansas City Chiefs might hire an Oakland Raiders assistant coach and now there's word that the Raiders are hiring a former Chiefs assistant coach.
Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com reports the Raiders are hiring Steve Hoffman, the Chiefs former special teams coach.
Hoffman, who was originally hired by Todd Haley in 2009, was not retained by the Chiefs in a move announced this week. The Chiefs hired Tom McMahon from the St. Louis Rams to replace him.
So a former Chief in Oakland, huh? Since I grew up in KC I think I'll always have the feeling that someone is doing something wrong when they take a job with the Raiders. (And, let's be honest, they probably are.)
