One of the impressive parts of how the Kansas City Chiefs were able to beat the Carolina Panthers didn't have anything to do with the Jovan Belcher tragedy. The Chiefs were able to still win the game despite having several defensive starters out of the game. At one point, the Chiefs had just three players on the field who lined up in the same position in Week 1.
For Wednesday's practice, as the team prepares for the Cleveland Browns, the Chiefs aren't getting off on the right foot as several players won't be practicing, according to the (other) AP. Not practicing is Derrick Johnson, Abe Elam, Allen Bailey, Ryan Lilja, Jeff Allen, and Brandon Flowers.
Eric Berry was also banged up, but returned to the game, so it's good news he's not listed. (Update: Berry is limited.)
Flowers' injury is concerning to me because he didn't return to the game. The Chiefs are already hurting at cornerback after the Stanford Routt debacle.
Limited in practice, according to the (other) AP, is Branden Albert, Tamba Hali and Kendrick Lewis.
That's good news on Albert and Lewis, who were out last week.
