In case you're not tired of this yet, we have one more report that states the Kansas City Chiefs have decided to retain GM Scott Pioli but that head coach Romeo Crennel is likely out. This one comes from Steve Wyche of NFL.com.
According to NFL.com's Steve Wyche, the Kansas City Chiefs are expected to retain general manager Scott Pioli despite a disastrous season, according to a source briefed on the situation.
The report cites the strong relationship between Pioli and Hunt as part of the reason for keeping him.
It does not mesh with a report from Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, which said that Pioli would have to state his case to team owner Clark Hunt.
As for Romeo, the report is in line with what we've heard from others:
Coach Romeo Crennel won't be as fortunate. The source said Crennel likely will be fired, although no final decision has been made on the coach's future.
For now ...that's all we know.
Kinda interesting how this all came down on the same morning, right?
