NFL Network reporter and former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah (or as many know him @MoveTheSticks) had a few Geno Smith-related tweets last night and since the KC Chiefs are going to be picking No. 1 or No. 2 and they need a quarterback, this is relevant to us.

Here's what he said:
I'm studying Geno Smith tape. Reminds me of Alex Smith coming out of Utah.

"@danbaxter1022: Sounds like a bad thing" not at all. I liked Alex Smith's college tape. He's far from a bust.

Geno Smith and Alex Smith are very similar in build and athleticism. Geno has a little more arm and Alex was a little more accurate.

Interesting comparison. I don't think Alex Smith is a total bust but he did take five years to come around. That's a long time, rarely given in the NFL. Smith is a capable quarterback but he's not even the best one on his own team. That's not the comparison I want for the No. 1 overall pick.
