This is a lot of injured players. The Kansas City Chiefs have a whopping 18 players listed on the injury report for Denver Broncos week. I don't remember them having this many guys on the injury report in a long, long time. That's more than one third of the roster.
Here's the whole thing:
Out: Terrance Copper
Yeah, they'll miss his special teams ability. But does this mean Steve Breaston could maybe play this week? Please?
Doubtful: Tyson Jackson
Could be Tyson's last game. That's not really a knock on him -- he just has a monster salary next season. And who knows what will happen in Kansas City after this week.
Questionable: Branden Albert, Josh Bellamy, Jalil Brown, Abe Elam, Tamba Hali, Kendrick Lewis, Dexter McCluster, Tony Moeaki
Albert hasn't practiced at all this week. Not a good sign. Bellamy was limited on Thursday and then out on Friday. Not a good sign. Same with Lewis, who was limited on Thursday and then out on Friday. Lewis, like McCluster, has an illness.
Hali is back on the did not practice list. He missed Wednesday, returned to a full practice on Thursday and then was out on Friday.
Moeaki has a shot to play considering he upgraded from out to limited in Friday's practice.
Probable: Jon Asamoah, Eric Berry, Jamaal Charles, Cory Greenwood, Russ Hochstein, Ryan Lilja, Rich Ranglin, Donald Stephenson
These guys should all play. Charles, Greenwood and Stephenson are three of the six Chiefs who are on the injury report due to illness. Wash your hands!
