It's very possible that we are soon going to say seven Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowlers.
No, really. Justin Houston and Brandon Flowers are both alternates.
Congrats to @jhouston50 @bflowers24 for being named first alternates for the 2013 Pro Bowl. #chiefsprobowl

Houston was the linebacker many of us thought would get in and it's very possible he still could. The three outside linebackers in the Pro Bowl are Tamba Hali, Robert Mathis and Von Miller. Both Mathis and Miller are in the playoffs. Should the Broncos or Colts make it to the Super Bowl, they wouldn't play.
Pro Football Focus was especially stunned that Houston didn't make it as they had him rated as one of the best outside linebackers in football this year.
Flowers is one of my favorite Chiefs so of course I love that he's an alternate. The current Pro Bowl roster includes two cornerbacks who could be unavailable because of a slightly bigger game the following week -- Broncos' Champ Bailey and Texans' Johnathan Joseph.
The five other Chiefs Pro Bowlers are Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson, Eric Berry, Dustin Colquitt and Jamaal Charles.
