Pro Bowl 2013: Chiefs' Romeo Crennel 'hopeful' Jamaal Charles gets in

Let's hope he's right.

The 2013 Pro Bowl rosters will be announced on NFL Network at 6 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) this evening and the KC Chiefs player many feel has the best chance to get in is the guy who is leading the AFC in rushing, Jamaal Charles.

"Well, I'm hopeful," Crennel said, via comments sent out by the Chiefs. "You know, I know that in this business when you win, teams, players getmore recognition. When you lose, you don't get as much recognition.

"But he's been a bright spot for us and he has a chance to become a 1,500-yard rusher and they don't come along every day. And hopefully everybody else will recognize that and give him some recognition."

He would absolutely deserve it.

Crennel was hesitant to name names when talking about players that deserve to be in the Pro Bowl but he did name another one -- Derrick Johnson.

"Well, I hate to call names because if I call a name and the guy is not even considered, then that doesn't look good, but I mean Derrick Johnson is a very productive player for us, has been the last couple years and very productive this year," Crennel said. "But on a losing team, sometimes you get overlooked. So I think that would be a guy on the defensive side."

He would be my second possibility of making it in.

After those two, I don't feel real confident about anyone else making it in.
