It sure feels like winter time. It was snowing in Kansas City earlier and everyone's now starting to get the flu. At least the Chiefs players are. There are five players who are on Thursday's injury report with an illness.
Not a whole lot else to update besides the flu. Here's what came out of Thursday's injury report:
Did not practice: Josh Bellamy, Brandon Flowers, Russ Hochstein, Ryan Lilja, Tony Moeaki, Neiko Thorpe
The flu is going around. That's why Bellamy and Thorpe are out. Assuming it's just the flu, they should be back. Flowers, who was limited on Wednesday, was out on Thursday. Another illness.
Moeaki, Hochstein and Lilja all missed Wednesday's practice, too. It's concerning when players miss two practices in a row.
Limited practice: Branden Albert, Javier Arenas, Jon Baldwin, Abe Elam, Jerrell Powe, Rich Ranglin
Albert's back is going to be an issue the rest of the year. He's been limited two days in a row.
Baldwin was another guy who missed on Wednesday due to an illness.
Powe went from not practicing on Wednesday to practicing on Thursday, but he'll probably be inactive anyway.
Ranglin banged his knee into another player, costing him two days of limited of practice.
Finally, the good news: Javier Arenas is headed in the right direction. He was out on Wednesday, but had a limited practice on Thursday with his ankle injury. I was wondering if that was serious.
Full practice: Jon Asamoah, Eric Berry, Terrance Copper, Brady Quinn
Shouldn't be any issues here. Quinn's your starter.
