We've had our mind on other things over the past day and a half but the rest of the NFL schedule continues on. The Denver Broncos, with their 9th win, clinched the AFC West title. The Broncos have a five game lead over the San Diego Chargers with five to play, but they also own the tiebreaker over the Chargers.
So Peyton Manning really was worth it and did deliver an AFC West title for the Broncos, their second straight.
The standings after Week 13:
1. Denver Broncos (9-3)
2. San Diego Chargers (4-8)
3. Oakland Raiders (3-9)
4. Kansas City Chiefs (2-10)
The Chargers and Raiders both lost this weekend. Cincinnati beat San Diego, 20-13, while the Browns beat the Raiders, 20-17. The Broncos beat the Bucs, 31-23.
So that's it for the AFC West this season. No one outside of Denver will be making the playoffs.
