Which NFL coach would you hire right now?

I'd take Jim Harbaugh.

Our weekly debate question with Gillette reads:

Which coach would you be most comfortable leading your team into the playoffs, and why?

Well, not Romeo Crennel. So that's one down.

For me, picking a coach comes down to the quarterback, who is as important (or moreso) than the head coach. I want a coach who works best with and develops quarterbacks. If/when the Chiefs hire a new head coach, I want the focus to be on that No. 1 pick and whichever quarterback the Chiefs will select.

With that said, my choice would be Jim Harbaugh. He's only been in the league for two years so it's possible there's soe flukiness to the 49ers but he has significantly raised the profile of two quarterbacks while he's been there -- Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick.

Teams with good quarterbacks are more often than not competing for the playoffs. Find the head coach that can maximize the play of the quarterback. That's all I really care about.

Which coach would you pick?
