Running down the list of injuries from the Chiefs-Raiders game, Romeo Crennel named Brady Quinn, the Chiefs starting quarterback. He has a rib injury, according to Crennel.
"They're evaluating his ribs to se what they look like," Crennel said on Monday. "We'll know a little more later on tomorrow about that situation."
Crennel won't be speaking to the media tomorrow so for us that's really Wednesday.
Crennel said Quinn "took a beating" against the Raiders.
Quinn didn't miss any time so you'd think he'd be OK for next week's game against the Colts. But, then again, Dwayne Bowe was lost for the season last week with a rib injury.
So what if Quinn doesn't play. Will Ricky Stanzi get a chance?
"There's a possibility," Crennel said.
That'd make Week 16 in a 2-12 season a lot easier to watch. (Yes, a new backup quarterback simply dressing for the game would excite me. Maybe not.)
