We've spent the week trying to figure out why Steve Breaston isn't playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. We sorta, kinda, not really got an answer on that.
So, let's move onto the next question: When will Ricky Stanzi play?
Romeo Crennel was asked if Stanzi will get any playing time in the final three games.
"That depends on several things," Crennel said, via comments sent out by the Chiefs. "That depends on injuries for one. Depends on how we try to finish up for two. I don't know that we'll just throw him out there to see what we have. If we feel like he's the best guy or that he gives us the best chance, then that's his best chance."
Well, there goes that. The only argument to throw Stanzi in there is to see what you have, and Crennel didn't sound like that was going to happen.
If Stanzi is the best player, he will play. But he wasn't the best player when the Chiefs were trotting out Tyler Palko, Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn over the last two seasons so I don't know why they would consider him the best available player now.
