NFL Draft order 2013: Chiefs, Jaguars and Raiders make this a 3-team race

The race for the No. 1 pick is on.

Jason Miller

The Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders all lost in Week 14, leaving the door wide open for the race to the No. 1 pick. The current NFL draft order is coming down to three teams -- the Chiefs, Jaguars and Raiders.

The race for the No. 1 pick as it stands now:

1. Kansas City Chiefs (2-11)

2. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-11)

3. Oakland Raiders (3-10)

Four-win teams: Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals.

It's unlikely the Chiefs are going to catch those four-win teams -- that would be two more wins out of the Chiefs, and that's just unlikely to happen. Plus, it would mean those teams would have to lose and then it'd come to strength of schedule, etc.

So, the real race comes down to the Chiefs, Jaguars and Raiders.

The most important game of this race comes on Sunday when the Chiefs visit the Raiders in Oakland. KC finishes up with a home game against the Colts and then they go on the road to face the Broncos in Week 17.

The Jaguars have two road games -- at Miami and at Tennessee -- sandwiched by a home game against the Patriots. The only sure loss I see in those three is the Pats game.

The Raiders host the Chiefs next weekend and then go on the road for their final two: at Carolina, at San Diego.
