There is no playbook on how to handle the tragedy out of Arrowhead. There's nothing that says the game should or shouldn't be postponed or canceled.
Should the Chiefs play the Panthers tomorrow?
Part of me feels getting back to football would be a good distraction for everyone. The other part of me looks at those players who were friends with Jovan Belcher and wonders how we can ask them to play 24 hours after all of this.
The important point to note is that regardless of how your or I feel, the decision to play against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday is one that should be entirely up to the Kansas City Chiefs organization, Scott Pioli and Romeo Crennel.
I wouldn't wish what happened to them on my worst enemies. This is bigger than football. I hope the Chiefs are able to decide what they want to do in a manner that allows them to mourn as well.
My vote: Move the game to Monday or Tuesday. Let us know your thoughts in the poll below.
