Chiefs coach on Steelers' Mike Wallace: 'He's a blur'

Last week Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel went down the list of things the Chiefs need to do to get better and one of them was stopping opposing receivers from running free in the secondary, which has happened a time or two this year.

The problem with stopping that this week is that the Chiefs are facing one of the top receivers in football in Mike Wallace The Pittsburgh Steelers may be a little more "dink and dunk" this year but Wallace is still a threat because of his speed.

And Wallace is so fast, according to Romeo, that you can't even see him!

"You have better eyes than I have because he's so fast, I haven't seen him on tape yet," Crennel said of Wallace. "He's a blur. That's how fast he is. He's really fast and makes it difficult to defend him because he has that kind of speed.

"You've got to stay back, or either he runs past you, and when you stay back, then he stops and hooks it up in front of you and then it's a catch-and-run. You're kind of between a rock and a hard place when you're trying to defend that kind of speed.

"What you have to do is you have to try to affect the quarterback to try to get him off the spot and destroy some of the timing, which is tough with Ben [Roethlisberger] because he's a big, strong quarterback in the pocket, knows how to move, doesn't go down easy, so it's a tough task."

A very tough task.
