Jamaal Charles appears to be fine after hard hit last week

The Chiefs running back practiced in full on Wednesday.

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

One piece of good news in a week of not-so-good news: Jamaal Charles appears to be fine.

The KC Chiefs running back was walloped by Chargers linebacker Donald Butler on Thursday night. Charles took a shot to the head/neck injury and stayed on the ground briefly before walking off under his own power.

After he was limited in Monday's practice, there was some concern as to Charles' availability for Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers. But on Wednesday he practiced in full, according to head coach Romeo Crennel. That's a strong indication that Charles will be ready for Monday's game.

So that's good news. Maybe Charles should prepare for 30 carries. Or 40.

I'm also wondering if Butler will have a smaller paycheck this week after the shot he delivered.
