Chiefs injury report: Tamba Hali among 5 players who miss practice

Hali has a knee injury.

Tom Szczerbowski

The Kansas City Chiefs hit the practice field to prepare for Carolina Panthers week and five players were ruled as not practicing, including Tamba Hali, who is an unexpected addition to the injury report.

Hali has a knee injury, according to Romeo Crennel. There's not much more information outside of that. Crennel has shown a tendency to give some veterans a little time off if they need it, so this (hopefully) may not be a big deal.

In other injury news....

Dexter McCluster has a head/neck injury, but has been cleared to play. He suffered the injury last week against the Broncos and didn't return to the game.

Kendrick Lewis has a shoulder injury, which Crennel said is not the same shoulder he had surgery on, and not something the doctors were initially "overly concerned" with.

Branden Albert's back caused him to miss last week's game, which Donald Stephenson filled in for. Albert didn't practice, which isn't a good start to the week.

Ryan Lilja is back on the injury report with his knee injury. He missed the Bengals game with that injury, but played in last week's game against the Broncos.

Only five players listed ... that's better than it has been before.
