Jason Babin, Philadelphia Eagle, was released.
Before you ask, the short answer is no. I don't think he makes sense in Kansas City right now. The scheme fit isn't there and Babin has money left on his contract. I don't wanna commit multiple years to a guy who doesn't fit the scheme especially when that scheme could very well be changing with new management next year.
The Chiefs are first in the waiver order.
A few AP readers have mentioned signing him, but not many.
Should they claim him?
#Chiefs They have top waiver priority, but Babin doesn’t fit scheme. Don’t see fit. Same with Chargers

Current NFL claiming priority: 1. KC, 2. JAX, 3. PHI, 4. OAK, 5. CLE, 6. CAR, 7. SD, 8. BUF, 9. TEN, 10. DET, 11. AZ, 12. NYJ

Jason Babin released? I know Andy Reids trying anything but that's like the chiefs cutting Derrick Johnson #CMONMAN

@schevejarod Nah. Chiefs have Houston and Hali. Babin is 32 and would just be a waste of money on a 1-10 team. I bet a contender snags him
