The Kansas City Chiefs have ruled three players out for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals and another five are listed as questionable or probable.
Out: Jon Asamoah, Jon Baldwin, Jake O'Connell
Asamoah was ruled out on Thursday and it was assumed Russ Hochstein would take his spot. But Ryan Lilja is questionable so if he doesn't play then things get really strange and Eric Winston starts playing guard.
Baldwin's absence could mean more time for Steve Breaston. Baldwin has what the Chiefs are calling a head/neck injury suffered last Monday against the Steelers.
Questionable: Brady Quinn, Ryan Lilja
OK, so we don't know what the deal with Quinn is. NFL Network's Jeff Darlington reported on Thursday that Quinn was cleared to play and would serve as Matt Cassel's backup. That's if he plays, apparently. But he's practiced in full all week so he should be available.
Lilja really needs to play. It's concerning that Lilja first popped up on the injury report on Friday. You don't want your players getting hurt on Friday and only having two days to recover before Sunday's game.
Probable: Dwayne Bowe, Dontari Poe, Steve Maneri
They should all play. Bowe was dinged up on his thigh in the Steelers game but he's been practicing all week. Same goes for Poe and a knee bruise he had.
