Among the top story lines in Monday's Chiefs-Steelers game that we (or I) have somewhat ignored to this point is Ryan Succop's missed field goal in the third quarter.
The Chiefs had put together an 11-yard drive on their first possession after halftime and found themselves on fourth down at the Steelers 15-yard line. A very make-able field goal.
But Succop missed it.
That was such a key play because the Chiefs and Steelers were tied (10-10) at that point. It would've given KC the lead and they would've been playing for the win late in the game.
That brings us to today's news:
Chiefs tried out kicker Matt Szymanski

Interesting. Doubt it means much, but still interesting.
That name should be familiar as Szymanski spent training camp with the Chiefs.
