The Chiefs will go back to Matt Cassel after Brady Quinn suffered a head injury in Week 8.

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

The San Diego Chargers need a win over the Kansas City Chiefs tonight if they hope to keep pace with the Denver Broncos in the AFC West. The Chargers are 3-4 coming into the game and sit just a game behind the Broncos. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have dropped four straight and might be looking to play spoiler at this point in the season.

The Chargers will be without a couple of receiving options for Philip Rivers. Wide receivers Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal, who have caught a combined 25 passes this season, are both out for the Chargers. San Diego will also be without a few back-ups tonight. Those include wide receiver Ladarius Green, defensive back Chris Carr, safety Brandon Taylor, linebacker Larry English and linebacker Jonas Mouton.

The Chiefs will be going back to quarterback Matt Cassel after Brady Quinn suffered a head injury in Week 8. Cornerback Stanford Routt, who is second on the team with four interceptions, is also out with a hamstring injury. The rest of the inactive list for the Chiefs is as follows: running back Nate Eachus, linebacker Bryan Kehl, defensive end Bryan Mattison and nose tackle Jerrell Powe.
