The Kansas City Chiefs had eight players miss Wednesday's practice including Jon Baldwin, Jalil Brown, Glenn Dorsey, Brandon Flowers, Peyton Hillis, Derrick Johnson, Ropati Pitoitua and Devon Wylie. Two others were limited: Kendrick Lewis and Ryan Lilja.
KC Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel talked about those players as to their status for Thursday's practice. He ruled a few guys out of practicing already while others are in the wait-and-see mode.
More: Details on Wednesday's injury report
Not practicing: Peyton Hillis, Glenn Dorsey and Jalil Brown.
Not good to miss two consecutive practices, but it's even worse when you see Hillis and Dorsey have missed time dating back to last week. Hillis was hurt in Week 3. Dorsey was hurt last week leading up to the Chargers game. I'm not feeling good about either of them playing on Sunday if they can't practice.
Status uncertain: Ropati Pitoitua, Derrick Johnson, Jon Baldwin, Devon Wylie, Brandon Flowers, Kendrick Lewis
Ropati and DJ will be out at practice but Romeo doesn't think they're going to go too much. Baldwin is another question mark, his first missed practice came on Wednesday. He has "a little hamstring", according to Romeo.
Flowers came off yesterday with the same heel problem that had him miss almost all of training camp, but "he's going to try to do something today to see how he feels out there." Lewis may not practice due to personal reasons. He was limited on Wednesday and it appears he has a shot at playing this weekend.
