A week without the Chiefs

It's good to be back home.

Jamie Squire

Back. Finally back.

I spent the last week and a half getting married in Kansas City and then traveling to Kauai with my new bride. Ms. Primetime became Mrs. Primetime, that lucky girl.

It was a strange, strange life being so disconnected for so long. I barely checked email, Chiefs news or anything else like that while I was off. Looking back on what I missed, I'm glad I didn't check anything. The Chiefs are perhaps worse off than when I left them a week and a half ago.

I found out about Brady Quinn starting over Matt Cassel while sipping a Mai Tai on the beach. When we rented out car, the woman from the car rental company asked where we were from and I said Kansas City, Missouri. She responded, "Are you a fan of the Kansas Chiefs?" Yes, yes, I'm a fan of the Kansas Chiefs.

I hopped on the plane to head home when the Chiefs were down by a touchdown to the Raiders, hoping they could pull it off. Of course they didn't. Of course not.

It's good to be back. Many thanks to Matt Conner, NJ Chiefs Fan, BJ Kissel, Chris and the rest of the AP team for holding things down while I was out.
