The KC Chiefs official injury report reads a little different than what we heard from Romeo Crennel this morning. Instead of a number of guys limited there were actually eight players that missed Wednesday's practice, including a couple new ones: Jon Baldwin, who has a hamstring injury, and Brandon Flowers, who missed nearly all of training camp with a heel injury.
Here's the damage:
Did not practice: Jon Baldwin, Jalil Brown, Glenn Dorsey, Brandon Flowers, Peyton Hillis, Derrick Johnson, Ropati Pitoitua and Devon Wylie
So, yeah. Kind of some important players on here.
Not sure what's up with Baldwin's hamstring. Dorsey was injured last week, Hillis has been out for over a week and DJ was apparently banged up at the end of the Chargers game.
Flowers is also a new name but his heel is listed. That's the same injury that kept him out from late July into the season.
Limited in practice: Kendrick Lewis and Ryan Lilja
Is this the week for Kendrick Lewis? Any longer and you have to wonder why the Chiefs didn't place him on the PUP list before the season. (Actually, not available for PUP, as stagdsp noted.)
Meanwhile, in Baltimore ...
Good sign for the Ravens that nobody was held out of practice. Great to be healthy at this time of the year. Long weekend helps.
