AFC West standings: Chiefs fall 3 games behind Broncos

The Kansas City Chiefs are last place in the AFC West, three games behind the division-leading Denver Broncos.

Week 8 is in the books for the AFC West, and things are starting to take shape as the season nears the midpoint. The Denver Broncos are now officially all alone in first place, and it appears that Peyton Manning and the offense are starting to find their stride. On the flip side, the Kansas City Chiefs are cementing themselves as the worst team in the NFL's worst division.

Interestingly enough, the Chiefs are officially three games back with nine games to go -- including two against Denver. There's no reason to believe the team can turn it around, but at the same time, the NFL can be a fickle league and the Chiefs have more talent than the record indicates.

Anyway, no matter how depressed or hopeful you remain about the Chiefs, here's the updated AFC West standings:

AFC West Standings

Denver 4 3 0 204 152
San Diego 3 4 0 154 144
Oakland 3 4 0 139 187
Kansas City 1 6 0 120 209
