Earlier this week, we took our Reader Poll for NFL's Week 8 to see who Arrowhead Pride readers believed would win this weekend as the two bottom teams in the AFC West met up in Kansas City. Nearly two thirds of respondents believed that the Chiefs would win over the Raiders -- a statistic that either speaks to the obvious response from a Chiefs' site or that one-third of all Chiefs fans don't believe they can beat Oakland.
With a quick survey of national sportswriters, it's clear that the scales are tipped considerably in the Raiders favor. Yet even then, the results are mixed depending on which site you go to.
All three Yahoo! Sports writers have the Chiefs winning at home for their second win of the season. Yet only three of 12 of ESPN's panelists believe the Chiefs will pull off the victory. That's a 75% selection rate for the Raiders on the road at Arrowhead.
Things get even worse for the Chiefs at CBS where every single expert of the eight-member panel voted for the Raiders. SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber also predicts a Raiders victory, 23-20.
