The Kansas City Chiefs have a lot of injuries, some a big deal and others not. Jamaal Charles would be classified under "big deal". The Chiefs running back has a back injury, according to Romeo Crennel, and was limited in Tuesday's practice.
This doesn't seem like a major deal because Charles did do some stuff in practice but an injury to a back makes me a little concerned. I've always thought of the back like the hamstring, an injury that would bug you all season. But I don't have any details on what's actually wrong with Charles so who knows. He'll probably be fine.
The Chiefs don't have to list an official injury report for their two days of practice this week (Tuesday and Wednesday), but Crennel on Tuesday ran down the list of guys that have been hurt.
Steve Maneri, the Chiefs leading receiver in Week 6, has an ankle injury that kept him limited on Tuesday.
Peyton Hillis and Glenn Dorsey are "going to do a little bit more" this week which is similar to what Romeo Crennel has said in past weeks. Those two haven't played the past three games so they'll have an extra week of rest to try and get ready for Week 8.
The big name not on the injury report any longer is Matt Cassel. He'll be practicing this week and splitting reps with Brady Quinn.
